Each classroom for each grade level will have 1-2 Room Reps per class.
Room Reps assist the main classroom teachers with planning activities within the classroom and helping with the class and school events, such as holiday parties and Red Ribbon Week. Room Reps will also communicate and coordinate with other classroom parents for these events and activities. Room Reps will have the unique opportunity to interact on a deeper level with your classroom teacher, auxiliary staff, and other EKHLA families.
Room Reps will have a liaison on the PTO board to consult with for questions and guidance. Additionally, each Room Rep will be provided a short packet with general information about serving as Room Rep, basic responsibilities, and annual events, along with templates and forms to make communications easier and streamlined. In short, you will have plenty of support and guidance from PTO where needed or requested.
